Description
  • In selected description of cases, which influenced the evolution of the sustainable development (SD) concept, we want to show continuation of moral appeal of SD from the past to the possible future. The main aim of our description is to show that SD as an axiological term resonates with an older historical period then twenty two years from report of the Brundtland Commission and made considerable shifts towards a global level. In these cases moral appeal is dealing with the question why to sustain? Proposed term SOStainability represents moral appeal in terms of when to sustain. SOS in SOStainability means Save Our Sustainability! It is an SOS ? there is no time for older and diluted concepts of sustainability to continue.
