Description	The publications of the Czech Statistical Office state that the district Český Krumlov records the highest unemployment rate of all South Bohemia districts. Therefore, in the years 2002-2006 possible development of unemployment was modelled and monitored. For the purpose of this research municipalities of the district were divided into two groups: municipalities situated in mountain and sub-mountain areas and %22the other municipalities%22. There was studied the possibility to predict higher increase of the unemployment rate in the municipalities with worse natural and living conditions than in the municipalities outside this area. Using spectral analysis, there were found high quality models enabling us to predict and compare unemployment in both groups.
