| - Milk is one of the most important sector in the EU. Together with cereals, fruit and horticulture products, it accounts for more than 14% of total agricultural production of the EU. Milk manufacturer?s sale was more than 117 milliards ?, and the EU is the leading player in world milk market. Common Agricultural Policy in milk sector was initiated in 1960 and its aim before 2003 was to stabilize milk market conditions. This aim was achieved by supporting the reduction and storage of milk margin and by supporting the disposal of milk market in the EU and in the world. Since 2003, the sector of milk has been directed towards the European and world market, the price support was reduced, market interventions were withdrawn and export subsidies were lowered. 2000 ? 2004 period is distinguished by significant reduction of milk prices. - Mléko patří v EU mezi významné odvětví, spolu s obilím, ovocem a zahradnickými produkty představují více než 14 % celkové zemědělské produkce EU. Obrat zpracovatelů mléka byl v roce 2004 117 mld. Euro, a EU je hlavním hráčem na světovém trhu mléka. Společná zemědělská politika odvětví mléka se datuje od roku 1960 a do roku 2003 jejím hlavním úkolem byla stabilizace podmínek na trhu mléka, čehož dosáhla podporou snížení a skladování mléčných přebytků a podporou dispozice na trhu mléka EU a ve světě. Od roku 2003 je sektor mléka více orientován na evropský a světový trh, podpora cen byla redukována, tržní intervence odňaty a exportní subvence sníženy. Období 2000 ? 2004 je charakteristické výrazným snížením cen mléka a znamená i snížení hospodářského výsledku producentů mléka. Příspěvek se zabývá analýzou produktivity práce, fondové účinnosti, efektivností variabilních a stálých nákladů producentů mléka v EU a odvozuje obecné tendence.
