Description
  • In this chapter, an overview of the computer modelling techniques in plasma physics is presented. The main emphasis is placed on the most frequently used techniques used in the research of low-temperature plasma glow discharges-solving of Boltzmann transport equation, Monte Carlo method with its modifications, deterministic particle techniques, fluid simulations and hybrid models. In the second part of this chapter, the modelling techniques used for the simulation of low-temperature plasma glow discharges containing small dusty particulates (so-called dusty plasma) are described. The text is accompanied by the practical illustrations of results obtained by the presented models.
