Description	The aim of the work was to define the level of iodine supplementation in cows in Šumava Mountains on the basis of the contents. In animals receiving iodine only in forage of regional origin, the mean contents of iodine in urine was 23.5 + 5.7and in mil k 21.3 + 12.3 mg.l-1. When mineral-feeding mixture with iodine contents up to 30 mg I per kg was only irregularly offered, the contents of iodine in urine was 48.5 + 7.8 and in milk 43.9 + 12.3 mg.l-1. A satisfactory saturation of animals in prevention of thyroid`s diseases was reached when the daily supplementation of 3 mg of iodine per cow was regular in the feed ration. (en) Ziel der vorliegen Arbeit war es, die Höhe der Jodergänzung bei Kühen auf der Basis der Jodgehalte in Milch und Harn festzulegen. Von 1988 - 1999 wurden 8 Landwirtschaftsbetriebe untersucht. Bei Tieren, die Jod mit dem Grobfutt er regionalen Ursprungs erhielten, betrugen die mittleren Jodgehalte des Harns 23,5+5,7 un der Milch 21,3+12,3 mg/l. Diese Ergebnisse unterstreichen die Notwendigkeit der jodergänzung in dem ganzen Gebiet des Sumava Hochlandes während der Sommer- und Wintersaison. Bei Verfüttewrung einer Mineralstoffmischung mit 30 mg J/kg, allerdings nicht regelmäsig betrug der Jodgehalt im Harn 48,5+12,3 mg/l. Ein Jodgehalt im Marn von 104,8+25,6 mg/l, der eine austreichende Versorgung der Tiere zur Verhinderung von Störungen der Schilddrüsentätigkeit widerspiegelt wurde bei einer regelmäsigen täglichen Futterergänzung mit 3 mg Jod je Kuh erreichte.
