Description
  • Animals are in most cases much more sensitive to some certain stimuli than humans, which they manifested especially in emergency situations, among which of course includes handling. Currently most operations (activities), performed while working with animals, performed primarily on the basis of experience that has been passed down from generation to generation. Only limited extents are complemented by experience, based on systematic professional knowledge and personal practice in the handling of animals. Also, the current methodology is based only on partial often incomplete knowledge provided unsystematically. Therefore, we believe that the professional information about the characteristics of selected species, the commonly used and recommended procedures for the handling of animals and other opinions of experts who deal with their breeding, certainly will not only extend the knowledge and new information to all persons who come into contact with animals and of course the others, who are interested in the issue. No publication can anyone learn the animal handling without actual risk to health. Important is this existing real risks clearly identify, to highlight their presence and to suggest the alternative solutions. The authors are aware that no theoretical or simulated practice situation cannot substitute the practical experience gained within its own contact with animals. It is important to create the necessary theoretical basis from which it may be considered. And it should become this publication.
