| - Jednou z plodin, která k nám pronikla teprve v nedávné době je amarantus - laskavec (Amaranthus. L.). Z tohoto důvodu se v ČR nenachází žádné původní vědecké práce, které by se týkaly onemocnění amarantu houbami rodu Fusarium. Na Slovensku se problematikou chorob a škůdců u amarantu zabýval PRASLIČKA et al. (1997) a největší počet vědeckých prací, které pojednávají o výskytu a škodlivosti chorob a škůdců pochází z USA (STRONG, 1968; WILSON, 1989, 1990).V roce 1998 - 2000 probíhaly maloparcelkové pokusy s okrajovou obilninou amarant na stanovišti v Českých Budějovicích (školní pozemek katedry rostlinné výroby, JU ZF). Do půdy přirozeně zamořené houbami rodu Fusarium se vysely následující odrůdy: K 432 Amaranthus hybrid, K 433 Amaranthus hybrid, Koniz Amaranthus hypochondriacus, Dakota Amaranthus cruentus, No 1008 Amaranthus hypochondriacus, A 200 D Amaranthus cruentus a Amar RR 150 Amaranthus cruenthus (Tab. 1). - In the years 1998 - 2000 we established small-plot experiments with amaranth as a marginal grain crop in the experimental site in Ceské Budejovice (the property of the Department of Plant Production, the Faculty of Agriculture, the University of South Bohemia). The following cultivars of amaranth were seeded into the soil infested naturally with Fusarium fungi: K 432 Amaranthus hybrid, K 433 Amaranthus hybrid, Koniz Amaranthus hypochondriacus, Dakota Amaranthus cruentus, No 1008 Amaranthus hypochondriacus, A 200 D Amaranthus cruentus and Amar RR 150 Amaranthus cruentus. Considering pathogenic fungi involved in the problems of amaranth seeds storing, we focused on parasitic fungi of the genus Fusarium and Penicillium which were not determined as to their species.
