  • Má vůbec smysl hledat vztahy mezi různými druhy umění? Roland Barthes se své knize Světla komora vidí spojitost fotografie, její okamžik ustrnutí v tableaux vivant, s prapůvodním divadlem a Andreas Kotte tyto tendence rozvíjí. Je rozdíl mezi fotografiemi našich blízkých a těmi, kterým přisuzujeme specifickou uměleckou rovinu. Tableaeux vivants je pro budoucnost současně zdrojem zpřítomňování toho minulého. A tak se ukazuje, že spíše než k divadlu mají totiž tableaux vivants více společného s performančním uměním a instalací.

  • Does it make sense to look for relationships between different types of art? In his book Light house Roland Barthes sees a linkage between photography (its stagnation point in the tableaux vivant) and primal theater. Andreas Kotte then develops these trends. There is a difference between photos of our loved ones and those which we ascribe a specific artistic level to. For future, tableaeux vivants is also a source of making the past come to life. So it appears that tableaux vivants has more in common with performance art and installations rather than with theater. (en)
