Description
  • This paper concerns the numerical solution of the elastic stress waves interaction with a zone that was created using local initial static tension. This problem is solved as 3D axisymmetric problem of a cylindrical bar with a pre-load zone. The zone is arranged symmetrically around the centre of the bar. The non-stationary state of stress is caused by axial excitation acting on one end of the bar. The time courses of non-stationary loading in the presented solved problems are given by a jump function, a pressure trapezoidal impulse, or a time combination of pressure and tensile trapezoidal impulse.
