Description
  • This paper deals with the modelling of twisted blades by the finite element method in the time domain, which can be suitable for transient problems and also for the study of non-linearized system dynamics. Two numerical approaches was studied. The triple of blades was modelled by means of the standard commercial finite element code ANSYS and the dynamic analysis was performed in the time-domain without model reduction. The second numerical approach is based on the modelling of separate blades by commercial or in-house finite element codes. The reduced model of the whole system can be created after performing the modal analysis of single blades considering particular effects of the rotation. The contact and friction forces based on a multi-point contact approach are included at the right-hand side of the equations of motion as nonlinear force vectors.
