Description	One of the advantages of online (translation) dictionaries is that the information provided consists of not only text information but also images and audio files are available. Of course, it is easier for people to learn a foreign language if they can hear the pronunciation of the words they are learning. The described database of audio files of ~30 thousand the most common Czech words was created fully automatically using a text-to-speech (TTS) software with a unit selection engine tailored to meet the specific requirements post by the task - synthesis of isolated words. The automation saves both time and money needed to collect such a database by a human speaker. (en) Jednou z výhod elektronických (překladových) slovníků je možnost vedle textových informací, slovníkových hesel, též uchovávat i obrázky a audio soubory. Je zřejmé, že učení se cizímu jazyku je jednodušší, pokud je možné slyšet výslovnost učených slov. Popisovaná databáze audio souborů přibližně 30-ti tisíc nejčastějších českých slov byla vytvořena plně automaticky s využitím TTS software s modulem dynamického výběru jednotek speciálně upraveným, aby vyhovoval úloze syntézy izolovaných slov. Automatizace šetří čas i peníze nutné k sestavení podobné databáze řečníkem - člověkem. (cs)
