  • TRIP steels belong to a group of new perspective materials, which show high strength as well as good ductility. This combination of properties can only be achieved along with a suitable structure by means of heat or thermo-mechanical treatment. Optimal structure would consist of ferrite, bainite and retained austenite (RA). At the same time suitable fractons of individual phases and their morphology play an important role. RA is a very important component of the structure, which requires colour etching so that it can be distinguished form ferrite using light microscopy. For detailed analyses like determination of retained austenite morphology and carbide distribution, electron scanning and transmission microscopy must be used. Many of these issues can be solved by utilizing laser confocal microscopy.

  • TRIP oceli patří k novým perspektivním materiálům, které se vyznačují vysokou pevností a dobrou tažností. Tato kombinace vlastností může být dosažena pouze vhodnou strukturou dosaženou tepelným nebo tepelně-mechanickým zpracováním. Optimální struktura se skládá z feritu, bainitu a zbytkového austenitu (ZA). Důležitou roli hrají rovněž vhodné složky samotných fází a jejich morfologie. ZA je velmi důležitou strukturní komponentou, která se dá při použití světelné mikroskopie rozeznat od feritu pouze s použitím barevného leptání. Pro detailní analýzu jako je stanovení morfologie zbytkového austenitu a rozložení karbidů musí být použita řádkovací nebo transmisní elektronov (cs)
