  • Today, after more than four decades of presence in the manufacturing industry, we can conclude that simulation as a technology has become extremely powerful., Turning to the context and scope of this paper, we see that discrete-event simulation (DES) can be applied to a wide range of manufacturing system development activities. As evidence of what this technology can do, successful cases from various industrial sectors abound. In brief, DES use can have significantly positive impacts on the quality, cost, and time aspects of manufacturing system development (MSD) and the product realization process (PRP). We would like to perform an objective view on the current DES state in Libya, where are many technological problems. We would like to propose some possible simulation solutions, which can be applied for this difficult environment.

  • Dnes, po mnoho dekádách změn ve výrobě, se simulace stává velmi výkonným nástrojem. Tento článek ukazuje jak lze do využít diskrétní simulace (DES – Discrete Event Simulation) ve velkém spektru aktivit výrobních systémů. Důkazem mohou být již úspěšné aplikace tohoto přístupu. Ve stručnosti tedy mohou DES příznivě ovlivnit náklady na výrobu, množství vyrobených kusů a dokonce i různé časové charakteristiky výroby. Rádi bychom se objektivně podívali na současný stav využití DES v Libyi, což je velmi specifický, technicky a technologicky náročný problém. Chtěli bychom navrhnout několik řešení pro toto jistě velmi složité prostředí. (cs)
