  • At the present time the tribology is very important part of engineering. Nowadays in engineering there is sharp increase of speeds, load, operation temperatures, lifetime and tribology becomes multidisciplinary science. First of all it is problems of physics, chemistry and metallurgy. Cutting of the material is typical representative of tribological process. The friction, wear and lubrication are parts of the cutting. The correct settings of these factors are very important for raise of the productivity. The tendency is to develop the approximation of the laboratory tests to real condition of the cutting process. The best test for simulation of the cutting process is tribological laboratory %22PIN-on-DISC%22 test. Its advantages are setting of the many parameters which is consistent with cutting process.
