  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the allele and genotype frequencies of the important production genes (ß-casein; ß-lactoglobulin; Calpain; GH; GHR; Leptin and Pit-1) in 171 Czech Fleckvieh bulls, slaughtered between the years 2007–2009. DNA was isolated from meat samples using the NucleoSpin Tissue kit (Macherey-Nagel), according to the manufacturer’s protocol. All loci were genotypized by the PCR/RFLP method. The PowerMarker programme was used for statistical evaluation of genotype frequencies. The allele and genotype frequencies found were as follows: ß-casein – A1A1 (0.1923); A1A2 (0.7308); A2A2 (0.0769); A1 (0.5577); A2 (0.4423). ß-lactoglubulin – AA (0.2037); AB (0.5617); BB (0.2346); A (0.4846); B (0.5154). Calpain – AA (0.0824); AG (0.5176; GG (0.4); A (0.3412); G (0.6588). GH – LL (0.4277); LV (0.4759); VV (0.0964); L (0.6657); V (0.3343); GHR – AA (0.5497); AG – (0.3743); GG (0.076); A (0,7368); G (0,2632); Leptin – MM (0.5211); MW (0.3803); WW (0.0986); M (0.7113); W (0.2887); Pit-1 – AA (0.0353; AB (0.4412); BB (0.5235); A (0.2559); B (0.7441).In the genes studied, also calculated were genetic diversity, heterozygosity and PIC: ß-casein (0.4933; 0.7308; 0.3716); ß-lactoglubulin (0.4995; 0.5617; 0.3748); Calpain (0.4496; 0.5176; 0.3485); GH (0.4451; 0.4759; 0.346); GHR (0.3878; 0.3743; 0.3126); Leptin (0.4107; 0.3803; 0.3264) and Pit-1 (0.3808; 0.4412; 0.3083). In 7 genes, the genetic H.W. equilibrium was found in ß-lactoglobulin; GH; GHR and Leptin.
