  • The objective of the study was to determine the differences in quality of silage made from the Bt-hybrid (Bt) and its near-isogenic control conventional corn hybrid (C). The experimental field was divided into two areas of 10 m2 with control (C) conventional corn hybrid and experimental (Bt) with the Bt-hybrid, both grown, harvested and ensilaged under identical conditions. Corn was harvested at the soft dough stage of maturity and ensilaged in microsilage tubes and fermented at 25 °C (+-1°C). The dry matter content of control silage (C) was significantly lower (P<0.05) than that of Bt hybrid silage (Bt) (345.4 vs. 355.4 g/kg), crude protein content of control silage (C) was significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of Bt hybrid silage (Bt) (66.7 vs. 61.8 g/kg). The degree of proteolysis calculated from the estimated data was very close in both silages and was not affected by the treatment.

  • Cílem studie bylo zjistit rozdíly v kvalitě siláže vyrobené z Bt hybridu (Bt) a jeho izogenního běžného kukuřičného hybridu (C). Pokusné pole bylo rozděleno na dvě plochy o 10 m2 s kontrolním běžným kukuřičným hybridem (C) a pokusným Bt-hybridem (Bt), obě skupiny byly pěstovány sklizeny a silážovány za stejných podmínek. Kukuřice byla sklizena v mléčně voskové zralosti a zasilážována v mikrosilážních tubusech a fermentována při 25°C (+-1°C). Obsah sušiny u kontrolní siláže (C) byl průkazně nižší (P<0.05) než u siláže Bt hybridu (Bt) (345.4 vs. 355.4 g/kg), obsah dusíkatých látek v kontrolní siláži (C) byl významně vyšší (P<0.05) než u siláže Bt hybridu (Bt) (66.7 vs. 61.8 g/kg). Stupeň proteolýzy vypočtený ze získaných dat byl velmi blízký u obou siláží a nebyl ovlivněn pokusným faktorem. (cs)
