  • The fourth year of symposium hold the title %22On the threshold of the third decade of the independent Czech foreign policy%22 determing the majority part of its focus. Keynote speech at the beginning of the first day was delivered by Jiří Schneider, first Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the programme was followed by panels The recent development in Middle East and Czech foreign policy or Multilateral dimension of Czech foreign policy. There was also a Round table Optimalisation and following development of diplomatic missions network in the Czech Republic and abroad, following private meetings of representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and IIR with representatives of political parties. Presentation was followed by discussion Two Decades of Czech Foreign Policy: An Intellectual Reflection that was attended by Václav Bělohorsky or Roman Joch. Public discussion with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic since 1993 with title Twenty Years of Czech Foreign Policy was attended by Jaroslav Šedivý, Jan Kavan and Cyril Svoboda. The symposium was closed with discussion Saving the Euro and the Future Implications for the EU: The Road to Salvation or the Road to Perdition that was attended by foreign leading experts Iain Begg, professor from London School of Economics and Georg Milbradt, former Minister of Finance from Saxony. Symposium was again organised with the support of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and ČSOB
