Description
  • The study aimed at proving stable sinus rhythm and exposing asymptomatic atrial fibrillation/tachycardia recurrences after abaltion of longstanding persistent atrial fibrillation by means of periodic transtelephonic monitoring. Conclusion: Patient displayed good adherence to longer-term transtelephonic monitoring after abaltion of LSPAF. Recurrences were predominantly represented by persistent symptomatic AF/AT; however, scarce unforeseen asymptomatic episodes cannot be excluded. Rare patients with asymptomatic self-terminating paroxysmal AF/AT are usually known to have the recurrences from standard means of follow-up.
