Description	The value of subsistence and existence minimum is reflected in the motivation of people to work. Employment is, however, also influenced by a set of other factors such as availability of labor, environmental quality in the region, average wage in the region, etc. The precedence model compares the changes in the values of selected parameters in the regions of Czech Republic and analyzes the sensitivity of these changes on the value of subsistence and existence minimum. Afterwards, changes in the unemployment rate are compared on the basis of the changes in the value of subsistence and existence minimum in selected time intervals. The research is not a simple comparison; precedence analysis is used, which shows the intensity of the impact on the neighborhood and range of the effect of these impacts.The article introduces with results of research carried out under a grant Silesian University in Opava, SGS 5/2013.
