Description
  • This article describes the design of equipment for the production of small-diameter fiber tubular bodies, which can be used as carrier of tissue cells, so called scaffold. It is also described the production and creation of a simulation model describing the behaviour of the tubular body under internal pressure. For this purpose electrospinning device has been created which allows obtaining the parallel fiber orientation, which is required for effective penetration of cell and mechanical properties of artifical flood vessel. Prepared scaffolds were subjected to mechanical tsting for a determination of a suitable material model.Subsequently, the FEM model of the scaffold loaded with an internal overpressure, which corresponds to normal blood pressure (120/80 mmHg) was established. The results allow assessing the behaviour of the scaffold during cell cultivation and their subsequent proliferation in fibrous structure, because a stimulation of cell proliferation is achieved by a flowing of a nutrient solution in the scaffold under changeable pressure. Based on obtained results an optimization of scaffolds was recommended.
