Description
  • Typical surface profilometer measurement parameters which is obviously addressed include surface flatness, surface roughness, curvature, peak-to-valley, asperity, waviness, texture, volume, sphericity, slope, density, stress, bearing ratio, and distance mainly in the micron to nanometer range. Tactile interactions are obviously ubiquitous and essential. However, there remain many household items that cannot be easily differentiated simply by holding them in one's hand. In this article is discussed application of 3D textile print in form of Braille symbols, allowing to make easier communication between blind people and world through the symbols applied on apparel and textile. Present day are well-known optimal design parameters of Braille symbols on paper sheets, folding cartoons, etc. In case of rough textile surface it is necessary to prepare case study of optimal readable design. Main aim of this study is comparison three methods allowing obtain information about surface topography such as 3D scanning, confocal microscopy and laser profilometry. Based on our results are discussed effects relating to micro roughness on readability of Braille symbols comparing with subjective evaluation via panel of blind people.
