| - Carbon nanotubes are the newest advanced carbon structures with special properties (excellent mechanical properties, high thermal resistivity, high chemical reactivity, high absorption, electrical conductivity etc.). Carbon nanotubes can be used for many applications, but there is often necessary to uniformly disperse them inside polymer solutions or melts, what requires special procedures and equipment. The relatively new form of carbon nanotube treatment is production of so called bucky papers. Paper-like carbon nanotube materials have many important applications such as in catalysts, in filtration, actuators, capacitor or battery electrodes, and so on. The presenting work shows way of preparing bucky papers involving the procedures of dispersion and filtration of a suspension of the carbon nanotubes. Usually very expensive carbon nanotubes with high purity have been used for bucky paper production. Although the very cheap carbon nanotubes with low purity can be used for bucky paper production, as the study showed. The procedure and final material analysis (electrical conductivity, SEM, EDS-SEM, etc.) are introduced here.
