Description
  • This paper presents the comfort properties of weft knitted spacer fabrics. Four types of spacer fabrics were analyzed, with different porosity, weight and thickness. The fabrics were manufactured using advanced flat electronic knitting machines, CMS 530 E 6.2 type. The comfort properties were determined and discussed according to the yarn position into the knitted assembly. Therefore, the fabric layers were made from different raw materials, the layer placed directly to the skin was produced by a microfilament polyester yarn with silver nanoparticles, in order to ensure a quick transport of moisture and to prevent bacterial the growth.
