| - The theory of human capital deals with the question of investment into different forms of this capital, mainly in education and training. This theory has been elaborated since the beginning of sixties of the last century. Initiators and representatives of this theory are from the very beginning are G. Becker, T. Schultze a J. Mincer. The basis of this theory is a question of measurement of rate of returns of education and training. There is an evidence in many studies that returns is often very difficult to measure and analysis refer to many problems, simplifications and lack of data. The paper introduces the basic thesis of human capital theory and focuses on the area of firm training in connection with human capital theory. The second part focuses also on question of measurement of returns to human capital and characterises two components of it, private and social rate of returns.

- Teorie lidského kapitálu se zabývá problematikou investic do různých složek tohoto kapitálu, především do vzdělávání. Toerie je rozvíjena a propracovávána od počátku šedesátých let minulého století. Průkopníky a předními představiteli jsou G. Becker, T. Schultze a J. Mincer. Základem této problematiky je otázka měření návratnosti, a to jak formálního, tak i firemního vzělávání. Jak dokladují mnohé studie, návratnost je mnohdy velmi obtížné měřit a analýzy narážejí na řadu problémů, zjednodušení a nedostatek dat. Příspěvek seznamuje se základními tezemi této problematiky a zaměřuje se také na oblast firemního vzdělávání ve vztahu k teorii lidského kapitálu. Část příspěvku je také věnována problematice měření návratnosti investic do lidského kapitálu a charakterizuje její dvě složky, soukromou a společenskou míru návratnosti. (cs)
