Description
  • Approximation of amplitude magnetizing characteristic is important both for theory and praxis. Because of the lack of information in literature, several functions with unknown parameters were selected as candidates. The best parameter values were found by the fminsearh procedure in MATLAB. From basic functions only hyperbolic tangent with three parameters resulted in acceptable approximation for technical praxis. However, very good approximation was made by the rational function of eight parameters - coefficients. Instead of a graph, eight numbers can be used for the full determination of the characteristic. The coefficients can be transformed into more illustrative zeros and poles in complex plane.
