  • Numerous laboratory experiments, especially batch agitated experiments, with samples from various contaminated localities (Spolchemie Ústí nad Labem, Kuřívody, Permon Křivoklát - Czech Republic, Piešťany - Slovakia, Pontypool - England, Reinikensdorf - Germany) have been carried out with the aim to discover measure of reductive effect of nZVI on determinate contaminants. It was found that nZVI would be reliably usable as a reductive reactant for in-situ chemical decontamination of sites polluted by chlorinated ethenes, hexa-valent chromium (CrO42-) and perhaps even by another contaminats. The rate of reductive reaction and the optimal concentrations for the real redevelopement action were determined. On the basis of laboratory experiments the methodics for a pilot application of nZVI have been specified.

  • Byly provedeny laboratorní experimenty (zejména vsádkové) se vzorky z různých kontaminovaných lokalit, jejichž hlavním cílem bylo zjistit míru reduktivního účinku nZVI na vybrané typy kontaminantů. Byla určena rychlost redukční reakce a stanoveny optimální koncentrace nZVI pro sanační zásah. Na základě těchto laboratorních pokusů byla vypracována metodika pro pilotní aplikaci nZVI. Pilotní aplikace byly provedeny na těchto lokalitách: Spolchemie, Kuřívody a Piešťany (kontaminace CE) a v Permonu Křivoklát (kontaminace šestimocným chromem). Data získaná měřením koncentrací kontaminantů v podzemní vodě před a po aplikaci nZVI v těchto lokalitách s různým typem znečištění, s různými fyzikálními a chemickými vlastnostmi a různou propustností představují velmi slibné výsledky pro využitelnost této chemické dekontaminační metody pro úplný reálný sanační zásah.
