  • 3D modelování a vizializace interní textilní struktury má velký praktický význam z důvodu velmi složitých struktur. V případě jednoduché struktury je obecně preferován systém virtuální reality v porovnání se složitými komerčními systémy.VRML lze použít mnoha způsoby. Příze může být aproximováno malými válečky, které sledují osu příze, nebo obecným segmentem, který je podél osy tažen. Nejobecnější přístup však spočívá v modelování povrchu příze.Komerční systém WiseTex je čistě založen na systému OpenGL a proto bylo použito VRML k rozšíření a vznikl tak zcela nový systém VRTex, který dále dovoluje téměř neomezeně studovat strukturu. Since the ideal textile structure has yarns of the same cross section and the unit cell repeats periodically.VRML can be applied in different ways. In the first attempt the yarn is approximated by small cylinders, but the better approach wasd the use a tube as a yarn geometric model. The most general approach is the yarn surface modelling.This method was realized in the commercial WiseTex system. However, this SW based strictly on OpenGL system which is quite a lot complicated. Therefore the cirtual reality was used to extend the WiseTex.
