Description
  • Technological solutions implemented to reduce the negative effects of diesel particulate matter on human health by dramatic reduction in particulate matter emissions have fallen short of their expectations. The total mass of particulate matter during standard emissions tests has been reduced, but real-world emissions and the number of relatively dangerous particles in the tens of nm range have not decreased commensurably. Rising traffic intensity increases particulate matter emissions not only by increased vehicle-km traveled, but also by increased occurrence of traffic congestion, which is associated with conditions which are often not optimal for the advanced emissions-reduction technologies.

  • Technická řešení přijatá jako opatření ke snížení negativních vlivů emisí částic ze spalovacích motorů na lidské zdraví nepřinášejí očekávaný účinek. Snížila se celková hmotnost emitovaných částic během homologačních zkoušek, ale již méně počet částic, nebo částice ve skutečném reálném provozu. Nárůst intenzity dopravy vyvolává nejen více najetých kilometrů, ale i častější dopravní zácpy, které přinášejí poměrně značně nevýhodné podmínky pro funkci pokročilých technologií. (cs)
