  • Powder spraying is a standard technique for decorative purposes and/or as a protective coating of metal. Polyolefin powder like polyethylen (PE) is used for some applications. One of the basic demands at this application is a good adhesion of the coatingto the metal substrate. Because of poor adhesion between metal and standard PE, an additional boundary layer made from epoxy resin or/and special copolymers is used to enhance the adhesion between the metal and the polyethylen coating. Such technology istime consuming and expensive. Direct application of the polyethylen is impossible because of its poor adhesion. Plasma surface modification has become a standard technique for wettability nhancement of plastic parts to enhance the adhesion to a lacqueredfilm. The aim of this paper is application of plasma technique for modification of PE powder for enhancement of PE coating to metal substrates.

  • Nástřik prášků jse standardní technika pro dekorativní ůčely a ochranné povlaky kovů. Polyolefinový prášek jako polyetylén (PE) se používá pro některé aplikace. Jedním ze základních požadavků při této aplikaci je dobrá adheze povlaku k substrátu. Vzhledeke špatné adhezi mezi kovem a standardním PE se používá přídavná hraniční vrstva vytvořená z epoxy pryskyřice ke zvýšení adheze mezi kovem a polyetylénovým povlakem. Taková technologie je časově náročná a drahá. Přímá aplikace polyetylénu je nemožná kvůli jeho špatné adhezi. Plazmová povrchová modifikace se stala standardní technikou pro zvýšení smáčivosti plastových dílů k lakovému filmu.Cílem článku je aplikace plazmové techniky pro modifikaci PE prášku pro zvýšení přilnavosti PE povlaku ke kovovým sustrátům.
