  • Byl studován křemičitý odpad z geotermální elektrárny v Mexiku s cílem tento odpad využít jako druhotný materiál pro přípravu křemičité keramiky. Metody: DTA, TG, ETA a termodilatometrie byly použity k sledování termického chování výchozích vzorků odpadu i čištěného oxidu křemičitého ve směsi s uhličitanem vápenatým. Použité metody umožnily stanovit optimální podmínky pro tepelné zpracování sekundárního odpadu s cílem získat částečně slinuté porézní materiály pro použití jako žáruvzdorné cihly. (cs)
  • The silica waste originating form a geothermal power plant in Mexico was investigated with the aim of finding its applicability as a raw secondary material for ceramics production. The thermal behaviour of original silica waste (and of the purified silicate) was characterized by meands of DTA/TG, ETA, TD. The reactivity of the purified silica waste mixed with CaCO3 was characterized. The applied methods made it possible to determine the optimal conditions for thermal treatment of the silica waste in order to obtain partly sintered porous materials for use as refractory bricks.
