Description	V tunelu Mont Blanc se 24.3.1999 stala jedna z největších dopravních tragédií, kdy při silném požáru zahynulo 39 lidí, bylo zničeno 24 nákladních automobilů a ostění tunelu v délce asi 900 metrů. V pracovní skupině řešící tříletý projekt %22Rizika v silničních tunelech%22 Ministerstva dopravy a spojů vznikl námět navštívit tunel Mt. Blanc ještě před jeho otevřením. V článku jsou přiblížena nově přijatá bezpečnostní opatření a je komentován stav rozpracovanosti, který byl jistým překvapením, zvláště proto, že se předpokládalo otevření tunelu v září tohoto roku.
