Description	This paper deals with the transformation of regional economy in the region Chomutov that belongs from point of view of economic development among the most undeveloped regions in the Czech republic with a high level of unemployment. The author claims thatindustrial zones and foreign investment in the region contributed to the decrease of unemployment and helped towards the transformation of the economic structure. (en) Tento příspěvek se zabývá transformací regionální ekonomiky v okrese Chomutov, který patří z hlediska ekonomického rozvoje mezi nejvíce ohrožené regiony České republiky s vysokou mírou nezaměstnanosti. Autor konstatuje, že průmyslové zóny a zahraniční investice v tomto okrese přispěly ke snížení míry nezaměstnanosti a k transformaci jeho ekonomické struktury.
