  • Structure of inhomogeneous systems - hard sphere near a planar hard wall and hard sphere in a pore - was studied employing the formula for the background correlation function in terms of the residual chemical potentials of hard spheres and that of a hard dumbbell (or a combined body). The enlarged hard dumbbell is considered for determination of the basic geometric quantities - volume, surface area and mean radius (the mean curvature integral divided by 4/&#960; for convex bodies). A novel method to determine the mean radius is proposed. Detailed discussion of the way of determining the single geometric quantities in special cases of systems (hard sphere+hard wall) and (hard sphere+ spherical pore) is given. The predicted density profiles or distribution functions compare well with pseudo-experimental data in the range of the reduced distances x<2.

  • Struktura nehomogenních systémů ? tuhá koule u planární tuhé stěny a tuhá koule v póru ? byla studována s použitím výrazu pro korelační funkci pozadí na základě vztahů pro residuální chemický potenciály tuhých koulí a tuhého ?dumbelu? (či kombinovaného tělesa). K určení základních geometrických veličin: objemu, povrchu a středního poloměru (integrálu střední křivosti, děleného 4 pi) je uvažován zvětšený tuhý ?dumbel?. Je navržena nová metoda k určení středního poloměru. Je uvedena detailní diskuse způsobu určení jednotlivých veličin ve zvláštních případech soustav (tuhá koule + tuhá stěna) a (tuhá koule + kulový pór). Předpovězené hustotní profily či distribuční funkce dobře souhlasí s pseudoexperimentálními daty v oboru redukovaných hustot x<=2. (cs)
