Description	Receiving cannabis is not only a serious social problem, but in recent years also a problem in sports field. Our study aimed to determine whether participation in collective sport activities can affect use of cannabis, because some studies have proven that the team sports environment increases chances of consuming alcohol. As a research instrument, we used the Czech version of the European model questionnaire / EMQ /. Ranked sample consisted of 614 active and recreational athletes, high school students from Ústí region, from whom 38.1% use cannabis often and 24.8% of respondents admitted using cannabis in the past 12 months. In all matters, focusing on income of marijuana or hashish, frequency of use and attitudes of opinion to approve the use of marijuana, among all respondents in collective / n = 322 / and individual / n = 292 / sports we did not found statistically significant differences. We confirmed only that the athletes in team sports familiarized with the cannabis use at a younger age. Our results did not confirm that the collective sports environment negatively influenced attitudes and consumption of this, socially most frequent, group of drugs.
