Description	In dem Beitrag wird insbesondere jene Rolle erörtert, die die ersten beiden Znaimer Periodika (%22Znaimer Wochenblatt%22 und %22Znaimer Neue Zeit/Znaimer Botschafter%22) im kulturellen und politischen Leben Znaims gespielt haben. Da in dem zweisprachigen Südmähren Kultur und Politik nicht selten das Zusammenleben von Deutschen und Tschechen berührt haben, wird in dem Beitrag erhöhte Aufmerksamkeit gerade Fragen der Nationalität gewidmet. In the first place, the paper explores the role, which the %22Znaimer Wochenblatt%22 and the %22Znaimer Neue Zeit/Znaimer Botschafter%22 (i.e. the first newspapers in Znojmo) had played in the cultural as well as political life of this town. As the Znojmo region used to be a bilingual one, culture and politics were very often related to the co-existence of Germans and Czechs. Therefore nationality is one of the key issues in the paper.
