Description
  • Liquidation of the landfill leachate is one of the main environmental and technical problem nowadays. Landfill leachate can be contaminated with different biological and chemical pollutants, and this is the big danger of contamination the surface and groundwater. There are several ways haw to solve the problem of the landfill leachate treatment: Treatment together with urbane or domestic waste water in the biological waste water treatment plant. This way is mainly applicable for the landfills which are located near the waste water treatment plant of an adequate capacity. Otherwise, the transport of larger volumes of waste water is very complicated and associated with high costs. Using the meadows waste water treatment plants, or splashing the waste water to closed landfills (using the meadows and waste soil as a biological and physical filters - extract limited amount of 40-50 m3/ha per year). Such a solution of the problem with landfill leachate is mainly suitable for landfills, which are located far away from the rural areas, and have a relatively small production of waste water. The effectiveness of such a process depends on the weather conditions and water quality. Decentralized waste water treatment plant for elimination of the dangerous waste water in the place of its source. Nowadays there are a lot of methods for the treatment of polluted water, which can be divided into the physico-chemical and biological. This way seems to be the most effective and ease to use.
