Description
| - The objective of this paper is to evaluate the impact of different agro-ecological conditions on the development of the root system and sod structure in extensive 5-mow grass growth of Lolium perenne, Festuca rubra, and Poa pratensis. The results of each second cropping year of the experiment based on three sites with differences in terms of climate and phytogeography, i.e. Rousínov, Zubří and Vatín, imply a statistically significant difference in the development of the live component of the residual aerial biomass in each of the monitored grass species on the particular sites, while when evaluating a site impact on the weight of the withered component (dead straw) of the residual aerial biomass, a statistically significant difference was recorded only in Lolium perenne and Poa pratensis. Furthermore, an impact of a nitrogen form on stratification and weight of the root biomass to the depth of 200 mm and overall sod structure was observed in the experiment.
