Description	In this paper there was evaluated trial with various percentages of wheat meal in ration dry matter up to 50 %. The study was carried out on 10 heifers (Czech Fleckvieh, 275 - 310 kg live weight. The preparatory period was 14 days, followed by the experimental period of 10 days. The sample of wheat meal was added to the feed of clover/grass silage. The rumen fluids were removed from the heifers 3.5 hours after the end of the main period using a stomach tube for rumen fluid removal. Protozoa from the family Isotrichidae were preserved in 10% methanal, dyed with methylene blue and counted in a Fuchs-Rosenthal counting chamber according to the method of VFU Brno and Dehority. There was a significant correlation (P< 0.05) between percentage of wheat meal and; number of rumen protozoa; pH and Volatile fatty acids.
