Description
| - Twenty flax/linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) commercial cultivars were screened for their tolerance/sensitivity to selected heavy metals by seed germination - root growth reduction test (Cd, Cs, Cu, Pb, Zn) and by in vitro regeneration test (Cd, Zn). The aim was to determine genetically-based differences in reaction to particular metal elements in commercial flax/linseed germplasm and to propose suitable candidates for both phytoextraction (high accumulators) and food/pharmaceutical (low accumulators or excluders) purposes.

- Dvacet odrůd, komerčních kultivarů lnu (Linum usitatissimum L.) bylo studováno na jejich toleranci / citlivost na vybrané těžké kovy, při testu klíčivosti semen - kořenový růst při obsahu (Cd, Cs, Cu, Pb, Zn) a in vitro regenerace test (Cd , Zn) . Cílem bylo zjistit, geneticky založené-rozdíly v reakci na konkrétní kovové prvky v komerčních odrůdách lnu a navrhovat vhodné kandidáty pro fytoextrakci (vysoká absorpce - vysoké akumulátory) a pro využití do potravin nebo do farmaceutického průmyslu (nízká absorpce).
