  • The on-line isotope separation techniques (ISOL) of short-lived radioactive atoms require the fast release of the nuclear reaction products from the GeV proton-irradiated targets. As a first step in the complex transport chain, the fast diffusion of radioisotopes (RI) towards the target surface is of considerable importance. Reliable data about the diffusion of the elements of interest are crucial for the optimization of the ISOL systems from the point of view of the release time and efficiency. In this study, some monocrystals of fluorides have been examined (using a Neutron Depth Profiling Technique) as promising ISOL targets for production of the radioactive boron beams.

  • Produkce krátce žijících radioaktivních atomů v systémech ISOL (Ion Separation On-Line) vyžaduje rychlé uvolnění reakčních produktů z terčíků ozařovaných GeV protony. Jako první, velmi důležitý krok v komplikovaném řetězci extrakce iontů je rychlá difúze vtvořených radioizotopů (RI) směrem k povrchu terčíku. Spolehlivé údaje o difúzi RI v terčících ISOL jsou podstatné pro optimalizaci systémů ISOL z hlediska času a efektivnosti extrakce. V této studii byly testovány pomocí metody NDP (neutronového hloubkového profilování) některé monokrystaly fluoridů jako slibné terčíkové materiály systémů ISOL vhodné pro produkci svazků RI radioaktivního bóru.
