Description
  • The aim of this project between company Metatech GmbH and COMTES FHT a.s was the identification of fastest cooling rate for perlitic-ferritic microstucture. The samples were performed from delivered six tubes made of E335 with outer diameter 42 mm and wall thickness 1.8 mm. Tube specimen were annealed above austenitization temperature and then cooled with defined cooling rate. Objective of this project is to identify the fastest cooling rate that still allows for perlitic-ferritic microstructure. For each tube specimen, material characterisation was done by tensile tests and metallographic analysis.
