Description
  • Stainless steels are all the time required to increased resistance in corrosive environment. Duplex stainless steel (DSS) and more resistant super duplex stainless steel (SDSS) are primarily used for equipment working with oil paper, salt water and petrochemical industry. The surface passivation capable materials as DSS and SDSS are injured by pitting corrosion. Research of production technology of super duplex Cr-Ni-Mo steel and proposal of heat meeting and ingot hot forging are described in this paper. Ingot of grade X2CrNiMoN29-7-2 with weight 1700 kg was casted. Forming technology with respect to elimination detrimental intermetallic phase precipitation was proposed. Work presents the information about nitrogen solubility and its influence in duplex steel, influences others alloying elements and heat treatment on structure state.
