  • The status of deformation recovery determines the properties of annealed strain-hardenable aluminium alloys. The progress of recrystallization in aluminium alloys is usually studied by polarized light microscopy but this technique is limited to later recrystallization stages as the nuclei of new grains are small. Electron Back Scatter Diffraction (EBSD) allows detect small grains and provides additional information on grain orientation. However, experience is lacking in EBSD implementation in the study of Al alloys recrystallization. The paper presents first results of the evaluation of recrystallized fraction by EBSD measurements. AlMg4.5Mn0.4 sheets with different recrystallized fraction were measured both by polarized light microscopy and EBSD. It was proved that EBSD is a promising method for estimation of recrystallized fraction and in additional, it provides information on grain orientation evolution, not available when light microscopy is used.

  • Stav deformačního zotavení určuje vlastnosti žíhaných nevytvrzovatelných hliníkových slitin. Postup rekrystalizace v hliníkových slitinách je obvykle studován světelnou mikroskopií v polarizovaném světle, ale tato technika je omezena až na pozdější rekrystalizační stádia. Technika EBSD umožňuje detekovat malá zrna a poskytuje další informace o orientaci zrn. Nicméně zatím není dostatek zkušeností využití EBSD pro studium rekrystalizace Al slitin. Příspevek přináší první výsledky vyhodnocení rekrystalizovaného podílu pomocí měření EBSD. Plechy AlMg4.5Mn0.4 s různým rekrystalizovaným podílem byly měřeny pomocí světelné mikroskopie v polarizovaném světle i pomocí EBSD. Bylo zjištěno, že EBSD je slibná metoda k vyhodnocení rekrystalizovaného podílu a navíc poskytuje informaci o orientaci zrn, což světelná mikroskopie neumožňuje. (cs)
