  • V tříletém období (2000 - 2002) byly v zrnu 13 genotypů (dvě standarní pluchaté, tři waxy odrůdy a linie pocházející z jejich křížení) stanoveny celkové tokoly (tokoferoly a tokotrienoly), obsah vitamin E a jeho izomery alfa-, beta+gama-, delta- tokoferoly a tokotrienoly). Vzorky zrna byly odebrány ze dvou způsobů pěstování: konvenčního (chemické ošetření)a bez chemického ošetření. Nejvyšší celkový obsah tokolů (60,32 - 67,55 mg/kg), obsah vitaminu E (alfa-TE - 17,98 - 20,06 mg/kg) byl stanoven u waxy odrůd Wanubet, Wabet a Washonubet. Odrůdy standardní tj. sladovnického typu (Krona a Kompakt) měly obsah tokolů (49,93 a 53,56 mg/kg) i vitamínu E (15,72 - 16,07 mg/kg) oproti waxy odrůdám statisticky významně nižší. Linie z reciprokého křížení Wabet a Kompakt měly statisticky nevýznamně nižší obsah tokolů a vitaminu E oproti mateřské odrůdě Wabet. Bezpluchá waxy odrůda Washonubet měla statisticky významně vyšší celkový obsah tokolů (67,57 mg/kg) a alfa-T3 izomeru (42,09 mg/kg) oproti všem ostatním (cs)
  • In a three-year period (2000-2002) total tocols (tocopherols and tocotrienols), content of vitamin E and its isomers (alfa-, beta+gama-, delta- tocopherols and tocotrienols) were assessed in grain of 13 barley genotypes. The highest content of tocols (60.3-67.6 mg/kg) and content of vitamin E (Vitamin E equivalent 18,0-20.1 mg/kg) were determined in the waxy varieties Wanubet, Wabet, and Washonubet. Standard varieties, i.e. of a malting type (Krona and Kompakt), had statistically significantly lower content of tocols (49.9 and 53.6 mg/kg) and vitamin E (15.7-16.1 mg/kg) compared to the waxy varieties. The hulless waxy variety Washonubet had statistically significantly higher total content of tocols (67.6mg/kg) and alfa-tocotrienols isomer (42.1 mg/kg) versus all other genotypes in the set.
