| Description
| - New clonal plum rootstocks were investigated in an experimental orchard established at RBIP Holovousy in spring 1996. Rootstocks GF 655/2 (standard), Pixy, Fereley and Ishtara were assessed using cultivars ´Stanley´, ´Cacanska lepotica´ and ´Valjevka´. Trees planted in spacing 6 x 2.6 m were trained as spindles. The experiment was arranged in a random block design using three replications, with two trees per each. Soil management and plant protection met standard practices there. The following characteristics were recorded: trunk cross-section area, yield, fruit weight and suckering. Trees of all cultivars on Pixy were the least vigorous. Trees of ´Stanley´ grafted on Fereley grew weaker then on GF 655/2 whereas those on Ishtara and GF 655/2 had similar size. With cultivars ´Cacanska lepotica´ and ´Valjevka´ no significant differences were noticed in tree vigour of trees grafted on Fereley, Ishtara and GF 655/2. - Nové vegetativní slivoňové podnože byly hodnoceny v pokusné výsadbě založené ve VŠÚO Holovousy na jaře 1996. Podnože GF 655/2 (kontrola), Pixy, Fereley a Ishtara byly hodnoceny s odrůdami ´Stanley´, ´Cacanska lepotica´ a ´Valjevka´. Stromy byly vysazeny ve sponu 6x2,6 m a tvarovány jako vřeteno. Pokus byl založen ve znáhodněných blocích ve třech opakováních po 2 stromech. Systém ošetřování probíhal podle běžných praktik. Byly hodnoceny následující znaky: plocha průřezu kmene, výnos, váha plodu, podrůstání. Stromy všech odrůd na podnoži Pixy měly nejslabší vzrůst. Stromy odrůdy ´Stanley´naštěpované na Fereley rostly slaběji než na GF 655/2. Ishtara a GF 655/2 měly růst podobný. U odrůd ´Cacanska lepotica´ a ´Valjevka´ nebyly zjištěny významné rozdíly v intenzitě růstu stromů na Fereley, Ishtara a GF 655/2. Nejvyšší celkový výnos (1999-2003) odrůd ´Stanley´a ´Cacanska lepotica´ byl pozorován na Fereley, kdežto ´Valjevka´byla nejplodnější na Ishtaře. Nejvyšší specifický výnos měly podnože Fereley (cs)
