Description	To present two cases of acute dacryocystitis as a result of the nasolacrimal duct (NLD) infiltration caused by a sinonasal carcinoma. The acute dacryocystitis can be very rarely observed as the first symptom of the obstruction of the NLD infiltrated by a carcinoma arising from the nasal cavity or sinuses obstruction. In pacients over 50 years, especially in men, it should be given a taught to this potential cause of the NLD obstruction and the endonasal endoscopy should be performed prior dacryocystorhinostomy.
