  • Major part of this work was improvement of the experimental apparatus - reactor and the other fundamental elements. The applied voltage generating the discharge was varied in the range of 2 - 4 kV, the air, nitrogen and its mixtures with argon or oxygenwere used as carrying gas with flow rate of at least 1300 ml min-1. The optical emission spectroscopy has been chosen as the best method to characterize the plasma. The product analysis proceeded in a gas chromatograph linked to mass spectrometer. The prroducts of decomposition were adsorbed on active coal in the sorption tubes and then extracted to carbon disulphide. This solution was used for analysis in GC-MS. During some difficulties with analytical method, the whole work was focused on removal efficiency of toluene (as an aromatic model of VOC compounds). The most efficient decomposition was 72 % in one stage reactor.

  • Hlavní část naší práce bylo zlepšení experimentálního přístroje - reaktoru a některých jiných základních prvků, při nichž byl rozklad VOC studován. Vysoké napětí generující výboj bylo nastavováno v rozmezí 2 - 4 kV, vzduch, dusík a jeho směs s argonem nebo kyslíkem byly používány jako nosné plyny o průtoku maximálně 1300 ml min-1. Optická emisní spektroskopie byla vybrána jako nejlepší metoda k charakterizaci plazmatu generovaného ve výbojovém kanálu. Analýza produktů rozkladu se uskutečňovala v plynovéém chromatografu propojeném s hmotnostním spektrometrem. Produkty rozkladu byly adsorbovány na aktivním uhlí v sorpčních trubičkách a poté extrahovány do CS2. Tento roztok byl použit pro analýzu v GC-MS. Celá práce byla zaměřena na efektivnost odstraňování toluenu jakožto modelové aromatické VOC sloučeniny v jednotupňovém reaktoru. Nejefektivnější rozklad, kterého bylo v jednostupňovém reaktoru dosaženo, byl 72%. (cs)
