Description
  • This article deals with the description of interactive learning applications for the demonstration of advanced techniques of image processing. Digital image processing techniques belong to an area where it is suitable to merge the explanation of a principle with a practical illustration of the influence of a given method on the source image. The best way in the teaching process is to show the students some interactive implementations of given algorithms with the possibility of working interactively with suitable variables in the process. The main goal is to demonstrate the principle and the outputs of the image processing method directly in an image, using interactive track bars, drawing demonstrational lines, vectors, displaying the auxiliary images, etc. The present concept of interactive image processing teaching is included in the course Advanced Techniques of Image Processing at Brno University of Technology.
