  • Článek popisuje návrh modelu pro simulaci zrcadlové a sumarizační metody unicastových zpětných kanálů při multicastové komunikaci s jedním zdrojem dat. Účelem simulace je obdržet výsledky z multicastové komunikace, kde je zapojeno přibližně milion uživatelů. Tyto velké počty jsou předpokládány již v blízké budoucnosti (např. televizní vysílání na Internetu). Navržený model je sestaven v různých úrovních abstrakce. Horní úrovně prezentují obecné chování, nižší pak detailní struktury přenášených dat. Model je tvořen čtyřmi hlavními bloky: síť, zdroj, příjemce a řízení. Model byl navržen pomocí jazyka SDL. SDL je objektově orientovaný jazyk s grafickou prezentací zdrojových kódů. V článku jsou také probírány problémy při vývoji modelu, jako například dlouhý čas simulace. (cs)
  • The paper deals with proposing a simulation model to extend the known theoretical results for the reflection and the summarisation feedback methods. The simulation aim is to obtain results closely related to the behaviour of real SSM sessions with millions of receivers. The proposed simulation model consists of various levels of abstraction. The high level represents the general view of communication; the lowest level represents in detail the structures used (e.g. concrete signals exchanged between proccesses). Four main blocks are included in the model: Network, Source, Receivers, and Control. The purpose of each block is closely related to a real SSM architecture. The model has been proposed using the Specification and Description Language (SDL). It is an object-oriented programming language that uses graphical expressions for the source code. We also discuss problems faced during the model development, such as the long time of simulation processing, which is due to searching through tables that gro
