Description	The article deals with the development of software tools supporting machining process in order to inspect individual energy flows, specifically power on the actuators, air flow and cooling lubricant flow. Interesting time intervals are selected and highlighted. This enables a considerably easier assessment of relationship between actual machining task and its impact on energy consumption. The first part of the article is concerned with the application created for simulation of energy flows in the machine tool with the help of advanced post-processing. That allows software to select to review only interesting data using peaks identifying algorithm. The second part deals with developing of suitable Sankey diagrams visualizations.
